We are so grateful to have the gift of Reiki in our lives. The comfort Reiki gIves each of us as we faced life-threatening illnesses, accidents, and the loss of loved ones, continues to be magical. Having that the loving energy of Reiki in our hands has made difficult times incredibly easier. We have family around the world. Over twenty of our family members (in the U.S., Austria and Australia) are Reiki practitioners, all trained by Denise and John. Reiki began for me at the Cancer Center of Ventura County in Oxnard. I experienced the release of pain and anger, emitting as vapors of colors from my body. In 1999 I learned to give Reiki to myself and others. On June 11, 2001, I received the "Gift of Life," a single lung transplant at U.C. San Diego, because of the generous donation by a loving organ donation family. I am completely well and I believe. I am a walking, talking miracle thanks to the expertise of a wonderful lung transplant team headed by Dr. Gordon Yung and Dr. Jolene Kriet.
